Technical Architect - Application Development - SC Clearance - 6 month contract (inside IR35)

I am recruiting an experienced Solutions Architect, focused on the development of bespoke applications for a public sector client in Glasgow. Due to the urgency and nature of the role, candidates with current SC clearance will be preferred.

This will be an ideal opportunity for someone with expertise in designing scalable solutions using COTS as well as applications from scratch and contribute to the architectural design of these as part of their ongoing Digital Transformation programme.

As such, I am keen to speak with candidates who have

  • Proven background working as a Solutions / Application Architect for large, enterprise scale organisations
  • Current SC clearance would be preferred
  • Excellent experience and skills in Java technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Microservice and API Architecture and integration
  • Knowledge of RDBMS & noSQL
  • Experience of Public Cloud and Security Architecture
  • Experience of Agile / DevOps methodology and tools
  • Other skills include knowledge and experience of Microsoft Visio, Atlassian Jira / Confluence, Standard Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to create technical designs and specifications


Flexibility to work onsite in the Glasgow offices as part of their Hybrid working approach is expected.
