Solution Architect (Financial Services) - Contract

My client a top retail company are currently looking for a Solution Architect on a contract basis, working remotely with some expectation to come into the offices based in London.

Please note this role will be paid via an umbrella company.

In this role you will…

  • Design end-to-end FS (Insurance, Credit & Banking, FX and Savings & Investment) technology solutions that are effective, efficient and sustainable making a tangible difference to the business
  • Ensure architectural best practice is brought to bear during solution design to increase value, reduce delivery risk, and control technical debt
  • Make technology choices that will ensure the solution delivers against the expected business and technology outcomes
  • Help ensure the business delivers on its strategic aims and enables the partnership to adapt and grow in a competitive and changing market

The key skills & experience include:

  • FS domain expertise (an understanding of financial services, especially insurance and digital platforms including marketplace Best Practice)
  • Influencing stakeholders at Leadership and Working Group levels on a major transformation or in an area with a high level of change
  • Working across the IT lifecycle with the ability to balance long and short-term outcomes given commercial drivers and available levers in uncertain environments.
  • adopting solution architecture methodology that proves demonstrable improvements in value, exploiting component re-use and/or reduced delivery risk.
