Solution Architect - 12 month FTC

Solution Architect required for one of Glasgow's most prestigious professional services firms, on a 12 month Fixed-Term contract (with a real chance of becoming permanent). They currently have a team of 10 Architects, and you will be working across all areas of technology - from Data to Infrastructure to Business applications. This role is a 12-month Fixed-Term contract, however there is real opportunity for this to become permanent with the direction the company is going in. The company are currently going through a digital transformation and they have a number of tech roles.

They operate across a number of countries and are in the process of reviewing all of the business services offerings. These roles are sitting within the Enterprise Architecture function and you will be an experienced Solution Architect, ideally with experience of successful project delivery across a larger scale, professional services organisation.

This role is not for any specific project, so the team are looking for a Solution Architect who is comfortable working across all types of IT projects. You don't need to be an expert in all of them, but will likely have some areas of strength. As long as you are not uncomfortable working across the broad width of technologies, this role might work for you. They also follow TOGAF, so a background in this would be beneficial.

The company you will be joining are undertaking large scale business change and there is plenty of work to be done now and moving forward. They are ideally looking for someone to start no later than one months' time, and you will be getting your hands dirty from day one. They treat their employees extremely well and have continued to grow over the last 5 years. They are looking for someone who can get into the Glasgow office, ideally a few times a week.

Key Skills and Experience:

** A number of years as a Solution Architect, across different environments

** Experience working across TOGAF

** The ability to participate in the development and continuous improvement of application and data architectures, technology architectures, development architectures

** Ensure that the architectures you create, are recognised as the road map for all business services and technical solutions

** Keep up to date with developments in appropriate new technologies/services and participate in the investigation / assessment of the suitability of these

** Production of technical solution designs for assigned projects, and gaining acceptance and approval from internal stakeholders

** Experience with environments (Prod/UAT/Dev/Test)

** Experience and expertise across Infrastructure OR Data OR Software OR Business Applications etc

** Experience across technologies such as cloud technologies, data centres, PaaS, IaaS, on-prem and hybrid technologies
