My client is an innovation-driven solar PV manufacturer with offices located across the globe. They produce modules, cells, inverters, hybrid storage systems, batteries, and EV chargers. Their UK arm is a leading and the only Bloomberg Tier 1 PV module manufacturer in Europe with above 2.1GW annual production capacity and with sales of over 3GW solar modules in more than 100 countries.

The Role:

My client is currently looking for an Operations Manager within the Electrical or Renewable Energy sector. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency of business operations for large utility and commercial scale projects. The ideal candidate will have some experience with Supply chain management as well as procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of renewable energy facilities, including monitoring equipment performance, maintenance scheduling, and optimizing energy production.
• Lead and develop a skilled operations team, including technicians and support staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated to meet operational goals.
• Ensure that all operations comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. Develop and implement safety procedures and training programs.
• Monitor and analyse the performance of renewable energy assets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency enhancements.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, control costs, and work to optimize resource allocation.
• Manage the entire supply chain for three main products (Lighting, Solar PV, EV)

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, and procurement.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
