Software Developer
One of the UK's top Renewable Energy providers are looking for a skilled Software Developer, ideally with good experience using Java, to join one of their core Agile Squads - Hybrid Working from Glasgow, strong tech environment and great culture.
The organisation have been running successfully now for decades, they're very stable and have a strong reputation in the technical community. The tech team are the forefront to the business's success as they develop products that continually aim to improve the quality of service for all.
As of late, the company have heavily invested in Green Energy resources - and are seen as many, as one of the most advanced in their sector. You'll be involved in the development for many of these applications / services.
Their technical function sits at roughly 30 strong, and it's rich with experience - it's a really great learning environment. You'll be working in one of their core Java squads, where you'll be tasked to develop large-scale Cloud Applications with a host of modern technologies. They've got a busy pipeline of greenfield projects coming up this year and you'll be encouraged to heavily help influence and shape these.
You'll ideally have experience with the following;
** Java (Java8+).
** Spring / SpringBoot
** Databases
** Working in an Agile Setting
The following is highly desirable;
** Cloud Services (Azure, AWS or GCP).
** Microservices
** DevOps tools
They're based in Glasgow City Centre and do operate a hybrid working model - so you'll be expected onsite at least once a week. They also offer flexible working hours which I'm sure will suit all - it's a really accommodating and friendly team.
They're able to offer salaries from £50k to £60k depending on level of experience, on top of a range of really good benefits (strong Pension and bonus).
