Software Developer (C#.Net) with Cyber Security Passion
Bournemouth, Dorset (2 days in the office)
£35-60k + 7-8% Bonus + £5k Relocation package.

There is a £5000 relocation package available for these roles, but only for candidates in the UK. NO Visa Sponsorship is offered.

Your new company
I'm working exclusively with this product-development business to build out their Dev team with 3-4 hires. Having navigated Covid with no redundancies and growing their international customer base the plan is to add 40% headcount in the next 6 months so it's a really exciting time to be joining.

You'll be based from their modern head office in Central Bournemouth 2 days per week, a few minutes from the beach and on direct train routes to London.

Your new role
This would be a hands-on .Net Development role, but offers a unique opportunity in the Bournemouth area, allowing the successful person to spend around 30% of their time on internal security / Cyber for the company. Someone from any of the following backgrounds would suit
- Completed a Masters Degree in Cyber Security.
- Have worked within a Security/Networking/MSP organisation
- Have industry qualifications and standards such as ISO27001.
- Be part of Cyber organisations such as OWASP.

Having gone through a modernisation effort in recent years (80% complete) these are hands-on positions working with cutting edge .Net technologies. You'll be working on new feature development for 2 of their core products, long term ongoing work as opposed to being pulled around between customers/projects.

They select the right tool from the job rather than being wedded to one stack and are always looking to the future, for example with Machine Learning capabilities (predictive analytics, LLM's and traditional AI).

The culture is relaxed and there's no red tape. You will be given a large element of control in your daily work alongside a team of 8 talented Seniors. You will discuss requirements, document user stories and will contribute to stand-ups, testing and reviewing other Devs pull requests. From a security standpoint you will become the subject matter expert, setting and maintaining security standards, dealing with threat detection for the business and escalating accordingly.

What you\'ll need to succeed
We're looking for those with a logical approach to problem solving and that have built systems at a high level (from the ground up ideally). You can pick up new technologies with ease as you follow core software design patterns and principles including Domain Driven Design.

Developers here are encouraged to be full stack, so a strong grounding in .Net (they are on to .Net 7 but .Net Core or similar will be fine), and JavaScript will be important (though Angular framework can be learned/taught) - combined with a good knowledge of databases (SQL Server/NoSQL/MongoDB).

The ideal candidate will have Azure DevOps experience and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and the future looks like Machine Learning and Microsoft Orleans.

We would expect you to be able to display your passion for development and Cyber during the interview. Show them your Github, talk through personal projects and your involvement in the industry outside of work hours.

What you\'ll get in return
You\'ll work in a modern office space with top spec equipment/facilities and a non-corporate culture. You'll get an annual bonus currently averaging 7-8%, company pension scheme and car parking space in central Bournemouth. There are 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and an electric car scheme available through salary sacrifice.

If you are relocating within the UK for this role, a £5000 relocation package is available on discussion.
