Children Senior Practitioner - Youth Justice Service

? Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people? Do you have the skills and experience to support children at risk of offending and help them build a positive future? If so, we want you to join our Youth Justice Service as a Children Senior Practitioner.

About the Role

As a Children Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in leading and shaping interventions that prevent offending and reoffending. Working within a multi-agency team, you will support children and families, ensuring they receive the right help at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex youth justice cases.
  • Lead and oversee intervention plans that promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Work closely with social workers, police, education providers, and health services.
  • Ensure risk assessments and safeguarding processes are effectively managed.
  • Support the development of best practices in youth justice, embedding trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:
? A social work, youth justice, or related qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work, Probation, or Youth Justice).
? Experience working with vulnerable children in a statutory setting.
? Strong knowledge of youth justice legislation, safeguarding, and risk management.
? Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage young people and multi-agency partners.
? A commitment to diversion, rehabilitation, and reducing reoffending.
