Position: Social and Emotional Learning Assistant

Location: Stroud, PRU School

Start Date: After Easter

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time

About Us:

Join our team at a local PRU school in Stroud as a Social and Emotional Learning Assistant. We're seeking a compassionate individual who can provide dedicated support to students with SEMH needs in both one-on-one and small group settings, including intervention classes. This role offers the chance to positively impact the lives of students and contribute to their emotional and social development - this will be working with KS3/KS4 students.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with Secondary aged pupils with a range of complex needs.
  • Strong communication skills and effective behavior management techniques.
  • Enthusiastic individuals with high organisational skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent role models who actively promote positive behaviours in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience working with children in a school or support work setting.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or willingness to apply).
  • Professional reference checks.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
