Skilled Sheet Metal Worker

Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced, skilled sheet metal worker to join our client on a permanent contract.

Core hours are 08:00 - 16:30 but there is flexibility to start from 06:00am if preferred.

You will be responsible for manufacturing and fabricating sheet metal components ready to be installed onto bespoke industrial furnaces and ovens.

You will have experience working with sheet metal, fabricating, bending tools and sheet metal machinery, worked on various products/projects as the company prides itself on manufacturing bespoke products, meaning no two job will be the same.

Duties will include:

• Manufacturing sheet metal components, to be welded and fabricated onto bespoke industrial ovens and furnaces.
• Measuring, bashing down, punching holes into sheets of metal before fabricating onto products frames.
• Building inner & outer layer of products, building conveyor & steel doors to be welded onto products.
• Working from detailed engineering schematics.
• Measuring down pieces of sheet metal ready to be cut down to size, using hand & power tools also to complete work.
• Working as part of a team on various projects and also working on your own when required to.

What you need to succeed!

• Proven background working in sheet metal is a must.
• Fabrication experience is essential.
• Ability to read & interpret detailed engineering drawings is essential.
• Experience working to specific measurements is essential.
• Experience working with hand, power tools & sheet metal machinery.
• This is a demanding job with heavy lifting involved and working from heights when required, so candidates will need to be physically fit with no restrictions.

This is a permanent position paying up to £14.50 (£30,160) dependant on experience, 40 hours per week.
