Simulations Engineer
Position: Cybernetics Engineer
Location: Alesund
As a Senior Cybernetics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our simulated control systems development capabilities for our simulation software. You will mainly contribute in developing or improving control systems for offshore heavy-duty cranes, specialised offshore mission equipment and digital twins of heavy installation vessels.
With your knowledge, you will be expected to take an active role in technical decision-making for the direction of our real-time physics simulation software. As a senior role within the team, you will also be expected to mentor and teach junior team members to grow their potential with emulation.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement control systems and algorithms to build our simulation solutions
- Integrate and interface third-party mission equipment control systems to our vessel digital twins
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybernetic and control system principles into software development processes
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth
- Communicate effectively with offshore customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions
Requirements:
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Control Systems and Automation, Cybernetics, or a related field (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.)
- Proven experience in cybernetics, control systems, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and algorithms relevant to cybernetics
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience working with offshore customers or in a multicultural environment is a plus
