Shipping Executive

We are seeking a Shipping Executive to manage all aspects of shipping arrangements for our products, both within the UK and for export. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.

• Manage all shipping arrangements, including SML transport for all products (UK and export).
• Produce all necessary export paperwork as required.
• Manage relationships with preferred carriers and work with purchasing to secure the best rates and make changes if needed.
• Develop and implement a procedure to manage the prompt dispatch of back orders.
• Collaborate with the sales team to improve back-order dispatch, keeping them informed of any long delays and ensuring products are dispatched promptly upon arrival.
• Work with the team to improve systems for chasing down shortages with purchasing.
• Coordinate with Sales and Credit Control when a customer is on stop.
• Ensure that all goods are booked in as soon as possible, at least daily.
• Take on additional responsibilities or tasks within your skill set as reasonably instructed.

• Relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Knowledge of Navision software.
• Problem-solving and negotiation skills are desirable.
