Service Manager - Supported Living - Excellent person centred organisation

If you’re an experienced Care Manager / Service Manager looking to work in a company that’s innovative, pushing boundaries and leading the way in how care and supported should be delivered in 2024? We’re looking for a Care Manager currently, to take up a post manging supported living in Chester and Ellesmere Port for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

The Service Manager role

Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Service Manager has responsibility for managing a small number of supported living services, ensuring that care is delivered to the highest standards and clients are supported to pursue quality of life goals through Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support.

  • Rotas and staffing - ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff
  • Staff leadership and management
  • Conducting Audits, spot checks, service visit and gaining feedback from people supported
  • Promoting and leading on Active Support and implementing positive behaviour support into your services.
  • Safeguarding promotion, training, investigation and problem solving.
  • Collaborating with the Positive Behaviour Support Analyst team
  • Supporting with all person-centred review processes

We’re looking for somebody with

  • Experience in a role such as; Care Manager / Deputy Manager / Project Manager / Locality Manager / Service Manager / Supported Living Manager
  • A passion for working with people with learning disabilities or autism.
  • Experience of managing a regulated care service such as Supported Living , Residential Care/ Care Home, or Domiciliary Care
  • An in-depth knowledge of CQC KLOE’s and the fundamental standards, a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding
  • A real enthusiasm for leading people, developing their skills and nurturing their ambitions
  • The ability to take part in an on-call system ( one in 7 weekends)
  • A drivers licence and own vehicle
