IT Service Desk Team Leader

Salary: up to £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location: onsite in Milton Keynes

Working Hours: 40 hour working week

Contract: Permanent

An industry leading business is looking to hire an IT Service Desk Team Leader as they look to build a new Service Desk team. The IT Service Desk Team Leader will be joining a business which is always investing in the latest technology and will be given the opportunity to increase their responsibilities and team beneath them.

For the role of IT Service Desk Team Leader, they are willing to consider people with and without prior leadership/managerial experience.

Responsibilities for the IT Service Desk Team Leader:

  • Lead a team of 3 Service Desk Analyst
  • Provide hands on support - Windows, MAC, Jamf, Office 365, Exchange, VPN, Endpoint security, Active Directory, Intune, MDM, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Act as escalation point for Service Desk team
  • Coach and mentor Service Desk team
  • Identify areas for training and development within Service Desk team
  • Monitor KPIs
  • Look to enhance and improve service desk processes
  • Work closely and collaborate with other IT teams
  • Participate and potentially lead meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Grow service desk team
  • Deliver high quality BAU support and execute projects including a Windows 11 rollout

Essential Skills for the IT Service Desk Team Leader:

  • MAC OS
  • Jamf Pro
  • Windows policies
  • Knowledge of Office 365, VPN & Exchange
  • Soft skills - strong communicator, team player, take responsibility & independent

Desirable Skills for the IT Service Desk Team Leader:

  • Commercial experience with Exchange, Office 365, VPN & Endpoint security
  • Mac and/or Windows certifications
  • Acted as a Team Lead/Manager previously
