About the role

As a Service Desk Analyst, your primary focus will be on providing effective, customer focused and efficient IT services to our customers, ensuring best practice and customer relations.

Your duties will include:

  • to receive and handle requests for support, service or information for local IT systems and UKSBS applications, with an approximate customer base of 18,000, following agreed procedures

  • promptly allocate unresolved calls and monitor progress according to service level agreements

  • maintain appropriate records within incident management systems

  • assist with IT hardware and associated equipment installations and support

You will liaise with other advisers and specialists to build and maintain good relationships and work on cross-service activities, while working closely with other ISS teams to ensure a seamless IT service is provided.

About you

You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and have good knowledge of relevant IT industry standards and trends. You will have worked in an IT Service Desk environment before, supporting PC systems including interactions between systems over a network.

You will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to establish relationships and maintain contacts with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and at all levels of the organisation.

An ITIL Foundation Certificate is desirable.
