Service Desk Analyst (Part Time) required until Feb 2025 for reputable public sector organisation based in Newcastle to provide 1st line support and customer service for an out of hours service that supports a range of public sector clients across the UK. Shift is 9am-12am Mon-Fri and possible extension available.

Your new role


As a Service Desk Analyst you will be required to provide excellent customer service and answer a variety of basic technical queries across various channels which could include, telephone, email, instant chat, remote support tools and service monitoring tools. You will be required to record all customer enquiries and requests, following predefined processes, troubleshooting problems using technical knowledge, accurately documenting actions and recording solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic 1st line IT skills across Microsoft technology including Office
  • Any IT Certifications would be desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekend shifts on a rota system
