Senior Technical Sales Engineer

GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a highly successful manufacturing company located in Malvern, Worcestershire. We are currently supporting their recruitment for an experienced Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

The successful candidate can expect to secure a basic salary up to £50,000 which is pending relevant experience, plus additional company benefits.

To be considered for this role we are looking for a time serviced Technical Sales Engineer who can demonstrate the ability to develop & expand existing client base, establishing a value-added proposition to build long term client relationships, that provides technical and commercial support, culminating in developing new business for our client both in the UK and internationally.

Previous technical sales experience within the automotive industry is essential.

Senior Technical Sales Engineer main duties:

• Your role will be to provide technical advice to both customers and your sales colleagues across the business which in turn should build strong internal and external relationships.
• Development of Technical Proposals and quotations to meet client requirements.
• Based out of the head office, you will be required to travel throughout the UK and travel overseas for client enquiry meeting with your colleagues in the locality, providing technical support to assist with the closing of deals.
• Presentation and Communication skills are essential to success in this role.
• Represent the client Ltd at commercial trade shows and be actively involved in providing presentations on the business while demonstrating equipment to new prospective customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Service, and Projects, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement.

Senior Technical Sales Engineer required skills and experience:

• Previous technical sales experience within the automotive industry ESSENTIAL
• Ability to plan and self-organise.
• Qualifications HNC / HND / degree level in a engineering/technical discipline.
• Min 2/3 years’ experience.
• Technically minded with a solution-driven work ethic.
• Resilience & excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
• Consistently deliver to tight deadlines .
• A passion for Sales and drive to achieve.
• Focused with the ability to work on own initiative.
