An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing company in South Devon. Offering up to £50,000 and benefits including a £1,000 contribution to conferences or training, matched pension, 23 days holiday and 25% discount on company products.

Committed to continually evolving their eCommerce offering the company are expanding their development team and looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join them. Specifically you will be working on the next evolution of their eCommerce platform, this is used by thousands across the country and you will be contributing to the architecture and developing new features deployed to a live consumer base. Operating in an Agile environment you will also help junior developers get up to speed with new technology and contribute to a transparent and collaborative work atmosphere.

The new eCommerce web platform is being built in JavaScript and specifically Node so candidates will need to show aptitude in developing highly scalable web applications with this. You will also have experience with either React, Vue or Ember JavaScript frameworks for frontend development and excellent SQL or NoSQL database knowledge. The company also use Clojure, so any experience with this or other functional programming languages is a huge bonus but not essential. They will also train you in Clojure if you are interested in progressing your functional programming skills. The end user is extremely important to this company and they are looking for you to share that passion.
