Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers for a Children's Home accommodating children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

These opportunities are open to Skilled, Qualified and Experienced Senior Residential Support Workers.

The purpose of this role is to provide advice, assistance and support to young people, attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs, assisting them to achieve their optimal potential.

Additionally, to offer support and guidance to colleagues as part of the home's leadership structure.

The ideal candidate would have experience supervising staff, or managing shifts in a children's residential care setting, is committed to achieving best outcomes for children, flexible in achieving objectives, work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve them, and offer support to residential support workers. Knowledge of children's rights and children's home regulations and safeguarding procedures for children.

Essential Requirements:

  • Essential qualifications - QCF Level 3/4 Diploma - Residential Care or NVQ3 - Caring for Children and Young People or,
  • Desired qualification - Diploma in Social Work, Post Qualifying Award, Diploma assessor
  • At least 1 years' experience working within a children's residential setting
  • Experience of supervising staff and/ or running shifts in a residential setting
  • Specialist knowledge of Children Act 1989, children's rights, Children's Home Regulations 2015, Care Standards Act 2000 , Safeguarding children's procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer Literacy
  • Effective communication skills including oral, written and body language
  • Proven ability of excellent listening skills
  • Accurate recording and documenting skills
  • Proven ability of good organisational skills and great time management
  • Committed to achieving best outcomes for children.
  • Flexible in achieving objectives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal development.
  • Proactive and solution focused
  • Good demonstrable understanding of confidentiality
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to form good working relationships with colleagues and Professionals
  • Special working conditions: Provide cover as needed for the homes and driving license
