Growing retail business based in the Manchester area requires Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk for their growing business.

Reporting into the Finance Manager this is an excellent role for someone who has solid Purchase Ledger experience, also working with import.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Liaising with Merchandising Department re supplier orders as appropriate
  • Liaising with Sales Department re stock delivery dates
  • Recording/updating information on various schedules around orders, shipments and shipping lists
  • Liaising with Warehouse re when stock can be received
  • Processing non-stock invoices such as freight, duty and VAT
  • Monitoring VAT account transactions and duty deferment statements
  • Settling import bills and loan payments
  • Creating stock receipts, and posting payment journals
  • Support year end audit process
  • Other adhoc project work as appropriate
  • Support other colleagues in Finance as appropriate
  • Processing stock invoices and matching to order
  • Checking and confirming invoices/documentation are correct from suppliers before suppliers submit these to related parties such as banks, clearing agents
  • Working closely with Logistics Department

The successful candidate for this role will have end to end purchase ledger experience, experience in import would also be an advantage. This is an excellent role if you are looking for progression and development in a business that is growing both through acquisition and natural growth.
