Senior Procurement Manager, Category Lead, Category Manager

Managing a small team of motivated, experienced and committed Category Managers, this role will also take ownership and provide leadership for the more complex and high value procurement streams. This exciting job opportunity will appeal to a Senior Procurement professional or Senior Category Manager with the ability to act as a true ambassador for procurement who can combine leading-edge procurement expertise with a flexible and astute approach to stakeholder engagement. With responsibility for a £00million portfolio across Indirect, FM and IT spend, there is total flexibility on category expertise and background with a greater emphasis on behavioural and cultural fit. As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will have the ability to build and develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders demonstrating a full understanding of their drivers & requirements and identifying and providing appropriate support & solutions across multiple different tasks, including the full end-to-end procurement process, supplier relationship management, contract management, commercial reporting, & applying governance controls.
To be successful, you will have the ability to lead and apply strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management principles; be results orientated; and comfortable identifying, setting & delivering against stretch targets. You will be able to manage ambiguity, work within a complex, fluid, organisational environment and possess excellent negotiation and influencing skills. You will be commercially, financially and legally aware and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of Category Management and its implementation. You will use your substantial experience in Procurement management to quickly gain the confidence of both customers and key stakeholders at all levels. Previous experience of one of Indirects, FM or IT is essential with sector background flexible.
