Experienced payroll individual required by our client.

based in Hemel Hempstead, well located near good trasnport links

the role will involve the following

  • Processing Clients Payroll
  • Processing BACS payments
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with clients liaising on payroll, employment and other matters, resolving client queries promptly
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of payroll matters and including current legislation
  • Conducting compliance checks on a regular basis
  • Processing starters, leavers, holiday pay, pension deductions using SMP/SPP/ SAP and SSPetc
  • Issuing P45’s, P60’setc
  • Liaising with HMRC both in writing and on the telephone
  • Calculation of tax and NIC contributions
  • Dealing with auto enrolment, maintaining pension scheme records, schedules and payments
  • Carry out RTI submissions and CIS returns
  • Setting up and closing PAYE schemes
  • Maintaining accurate and concise record systems
  • Recording of time accurately on timesheets

Education and Work Experience

  • Previous experience of end to end payroll in an accountancy practice
  • Sage payroll experience
  • CIPP qualification desirable
  • Mathematical and IT literate
  • Good knowledge of Auto Enrolment Pensions
