Dee View Court, Scotland’s premier purpose-built Neurological Care Centre, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to lead a small team alongside our other dedicated Senior Nurses.

About the Client: Dee View Court, located in Kincorth, Aberdeen, has recently completed a fantastic expansion, allowing us to provide even more care to clients in the area. As Scotland’s only purpose-built Neurological Care Centre, we are committed to optimizing independence and supporting physical, emotional, and social needs.

The Role: As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will manage a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. Your responsibilities include ensuring effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of high standards of holistic care for service users. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for performance management of all clinical staff, adhering to Sue Ryder policies and procedures for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.

• Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week

About You: We’re looking for a Senior Registered Nurse with:

• Post-registration experience in the clinical field
• Knowledge of best clinical practices for our client group
• Awareness of current legislation within the independent care sector
• Demonstrable continuing professional development
• Nurse-led management of long-term conditions
• Clinical leadership skills
• Proven ability to lead, build, and influence a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey difficult messages to service users and their families
• Negotiation and conflict management skills
• The ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting
