Senior HR Advisor
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their HR career to work within a fast paced and friendly environment. We are looking for an experienced HR professional to work in partnership with our management team and Centres of Excellence to support the achievement of business objectives through the delivery of a proactive operational HR and Employee Relations service.
Working with the management team to deliver the HR business strategy that underpins each of the business unit strategies and ensuring that the wider HR Advisor population are involved in relevant business projects.
To be the main point of contact for operational HR matters for managers and senior managers across the site establishing an effective communication network.
Provide expert operational advice and support to the business on HR and ER matters.
Coach and support line managers with formal processes including coordinating hearings, drafting related correspondence and meeting attendance where required.
Work with the management team and Centres of Excellence to shape HR actions to positively impact on operational performance and colleague engagement.
Interrogate and analyse People Data to formulate and deliver appropriate local action plans for improvement and support better decision through use of data.
Leading on MI interpretation, appeals, policy SME, coaching activities.
Taking an active and accountable part in decision making processes that impact people, including Bonus Calibration and Salary Benchmarking activities.
Contribute to HR policy creation and review.
Champion the colleague experience; participating in colleague forums business unit plans.
Line management of HR Advisor(s).
Essential skills and experience:
Proven track record of delivering results within a HR Generalist, Senior Advisor /Manager role.
Significant experience of dealing with complex employee relations issues.
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Results-driven with a pro-active and enthusiastic approach.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
Strong attention to detail; driving a high standard of service delivery.
Collaborative team player with the ability to operate in a stand-alone capacity when required.
A high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

Many of our colleagues are now working remotely, as is this role, with some elements of in-office attendance as required. Your base office would be our friendly Saltcoats office which is located 40 minutes from Glasgow and is well placed within the ‘three towns’ of Stevenson, Saltcoats and Ardrossan. We provide a great working environment within a modern office and have free on-site parking. We are also located right next to Saltcoats train station and within walking distance of other local amenities such as shops, cafes and the beach! This role may occasionally involve travel between sites as appropriate and works closely with the wider HR team and all operational sites.
