Senior Freight Imports Clerk

Our client is one of the UK's leading multimodal and logistics organisations now due to expansion our client is now looking for a Senior Imports Operations Clerk to be based at their Glasgow location.

Role
* Your role will involve the full freight imports cycle.
* Taking Bookings
* Completion of shipments from start to finish.
* Quotations
* Freight import documentation and office administration
* Customs completion

In order to apply you will have

* Ideally Multi Modal Freight Forwarding experience but we will consider just Trailer, Sea or Air as training will be provided
* Knowledge of shipping duties & HMRC procedures within CHIEF & CDS including AEO compliance
* Experience of Cargowise or similar customs system
* Excellent Communication and ability to demonstrate basic team interaction and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of transport industry regulations
* Proactive approach to Customer Service and Account Management
* Commercial and negotiating focus.
* Confident user of MS Office, in particular Excel and Word

Package & Benefits
* Salary range - £28,000 - £33,000 depending on level of knowledge/experience.
* Holiday entitlement: 20 days rising with length of service
