Broster Buchanan are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner for an ambitious, high growth financial services organisation based in Leicester. 
 
The role will be working as part of the Commercial & Operational arm of finance reporting to the Head of Finance (Commercial & Operations) with responsibility for the operation delivery of finance and the commercial success of the Group.
 
The successful candidate will produce consistent and consolidated data models whilst delivering data driven insights to the group. A key to the role will be managing and delivering our new automation & analytics tool. You will be expected to retrieve and build strong data models, manage current models and assist in automating workflows to drive operational performance. In addition the successful candidate will also be required to use data to analyse and drive growth across the business. You will play a pivotal role in leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic financial decision-making.
 
STRATEGIC INFLUENCE
The Senior Finance Business Partner role within our Finance team serves as a strategic influencer, harnessing the power of data to drive impactful decisions and enhance the overall financial health of the organisation. By conducting thorough data analysis and interpretation, this role provides key insights into financial trends, identifies opportunities for optimisation, and predicts potential risks.
 
This role acts as a linchpin between the finance senior leadership team to ensure the entire team can work efficiently and effectively as you will own all financial systems, and their interaction with the wider CRM and Proprietary solution. The Senior Data Analyst aligns data initiatives with overarching financial objectives, contributing not only to the efficiency of financial operations but also to the broader strategic direction of the business.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES   
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy for all finance processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and reduced manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse workflows, identify automation candidates, and establish a roadmap for continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of automated processes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements as needed.
  • Provide training and support to finance team members on the use of automation tools, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Take ownership of all finance systems, ensuring their seamless integration with the chosen automation tool and other relevant platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to maintain a robust and stable data model that supports financial reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct regular audits of finance systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement data governance policies to maintain the quality and security of financial data.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance system capabilities, staying abreast of technological advancements to drive improvements in data processing and reporting. 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
(The degree of technical knowledge & experience which is needed)
  • Qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • 5 years of experience in data analytics within finance domain
  • Exceptional financial modelling, Excel and analytical skills.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Visualisation Tools: Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau
  • Excellent Coding ability including SQL, DAX and working knowledge of Asure Pipelines
  • Working knowledge of ERP Dynamics 365 (Business Central)
  • Highly diligent with an eye for detail and impeccable presentational skills.
  • Ability to see high level view, and be close to the detail
