An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Analyst to join a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis team for a company based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing asset purchasing processes, reconciling payments, and providing support to the FC and Management Accountant. This role also offers the chance to engage in various ad hoc tasks and projects

What you'll do:

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing the asset business across the group. You will oversee the lease or HP process, ensuring smooth operations through diligent monthly reconciliations. Your expertise will be called upon for ad hoc management accounting tasks and budgetary assistance. You will review VAT returns, perform reconciliations, handle bad debt write-offs, and report on payment practices. Additionally, you will provide cover for treasury and asset roles during holidays, demonstrating your versatility within the team.

Manage the asset business across the Group

Review VAT return and perform reconciliations
Handle quarterly bad debt write-offs
Perform system sales reconciliation quarterly
Provide invoice financing rec. support
Cover Treasury role during holiday


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Finance Analyst role brings a wealth of experience in double entry accounting within a professional setting. You must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (V or Xlookups and Pivot tables), enables you to efficiently manage data and perform complex calculations. With strong attention to detail and accuracy, you ensure high-quality outputs at all times. You understand the importance of confidentiality in this role and are able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Your proactive, self-starter attitude will be key to your success in this role.

Qualified by experience in finance
Proven experience of double entry accounting in the workplace
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (V or Xlookups and Pivot tables)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Understanding of confidentiality importance
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Proactive self-starter attitude

The salary is £38,000 - £52,000 plus 25 days holidays and bank holidays, hybrid working, and many other company specific benefits.
