Location: Newcastle Under Lyme (ST5)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (37hrs per week)

Pay: £30.00ph paid weekly via umbrella

Duration: Ongoing - Long Term/Temp to Perm

Hybrid: Yes - 2 days WFH, 3 days office

Main Purpose of Job:

To lead with the support of the Facilities and Engineering Manager in all car parking matters and undertake key engineering roles within the team.

Main Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

To manage all aspects of building, structures and engineering property-related matters, including scheme design, drawings, specification, contract administration and site supervision.

To help to manage the Civil Parking Enforcement Service.

To undertake routine CCTV system checks, maintenance and ad hoc requests and problems as may be required.

To carry out the street naming and property numbering functions for all new developments and any requests for changes.

To manage requests for all utility information.

To lead on the maintenance/management of the car parks and street/footpath lighting.

To assist with all aspects of Civil Contingencies (Emergency Planning) including any specific role as may be allocated, including emergency situations.

To undertake surveys of land and structures as appropriate.

To lead on the management of the bus station including stand allocations.

To assist the Manager in the preparation of business plans, budget estimates and work programmes as required, along with routine monitoring of cost management financial systems.

To lead in the preparation of reports and financial or statistical information as required including reports to the Council and its Committees.
