Senior Credit Controller | £30,000 – £40,000 | Bolton |Hybrid and Flexible Working | Fast-growing, PE-backed business | Great team and working culture

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering a rapidly-growing, PE-backed organisation in Bolton as they recruit for a Senior Credit Controller capable of reviewing processes and implementing improvements within the Credit Control function.

This role will be well suited to experienced Credit Controllers who are keen input their ideas in regard to process improvement and are able to collect owed monies quickly and efficiently. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail as well as being able to build long-lasting internal and external relationships. The role could well lead to progression to a Credit Manager with the company looking to further grow the credit control function in the future.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Actively chasing outstanding debt via phone, letter and email
• Evaluation credit statuses of the debtors ledger
• Implementing and reviewing agreed improvements of the credit control processes and controls
• Analysis of total balance movements and ageing of debtors with recommended action
• Conduct negotiations with customers to set terms and conditions for payment of receivables
• Ensuring daily cash and debtors targets are met
• Cash allocation and correctly posting cash
• Developing external and internal relationships with customers and in particular key customers
• Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure good management of debt
• Review and implement revised compliance to standard policies and regulations
• Dispute management and stakeholder management
• Monthly reconciliation of ledger accounts
• Taking legal action when necessary
• Presenting key financial information to internal stakeholder on a weekly basis

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller/ Senior Credit Controller
• Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Control systems and processes
• Good IT and MS Excel skills
• Working knowledge of Sage 200 (desired)
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work within timescales and to deadlines
• Efficient and methodical approach to time and task management
