Senior Correspondence Product Owner

My client is currently seeking a Senior Correspondence Product Owner to join their team. As the Senior Correspondence Product Owner, you will be responsible for the delivery of outcomes for the Correspondence Centre of Excellence, supporting some of the less experienced members of the team as a guide and mentor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the analysis, document specifications definition and set up on migration programmes.
  • Responsible for the specification, testing and delivery of correspondence on both migration programmes and new propositional or operational change.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to standards and maintaining superior quality outcomes
  • Responsible for ensuring the needs of the clients are met, especially for branding and tone of voice requirements
  • Supports new strategic initiatives where communications design is required
  • Key member of team who helps build, maintain and develop a high-performing model for the delivery of correspondence design, for all types of customer correspondence.
  • Responsible for a delivery approach and methodology that ensures successful customer correspondence (templates, letters, statements, forms, inserts, attachments, packs) on our core platform technologies
  • Helps to create an environment for continuous improvement and ensures lessons learned from previous transformation work across different clients is adopted, unlocking opportunities to increase automation and reduce error and waste
  • Able to chair meetings with senior stakeholders to help drive solutions and meet project objectives
  • Ensures methodology and processes for outputs development is understood and adopted, both internally and externally
  • Manages and organises a number of the team members (up to 5) to deliver effectively across different client accounts and programmes of work
  • Maintains governance and quality standards to monitor delivery progress and measure success
  • Provides an escalation route to, and deputises for, the Head of Correspondence Delivery
  • Responsible for reporting and monitoring of progress across delivery activities, ensuring quality and delivery to plan
  • Maintains good stakeholder engagement to align expectations in the approach to delivery, planned timescales and quality
  • Recognised as an expert in the lifecycle (customer correspondence journeys) of life, pension and investment products, particularly for those key events in a customer’s life where informed decisions need to be made
  • Support Quality Assurance testing, defect resolution and provision of MI

Skills and Experience

  • A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to translate complex principles into common understanding
  • Motivating team members to deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex written communications environment
  • Good experience of delivering customer communications, including document specification and test assurance activities
  • Influencing correspondence design whilst mindful of branding and tone of voice (and vulnerable customer) requirements
  • Good experience of Life, Pensions and Investment products
  • Good understanding of the UK regulatory environment
