Senior Contracts Lawyer
Northampton
£55 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract ( 3 months )

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Contracts Lawyer in Northampton. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours. The employer can offer mostly remote working, with very infrequent office visits

The job:

  • The effective and efficient preparation and processing in a timely manner of all legal documents (including contracts, agreements, deeds, notices, orders and consents)
  • Preparation of precedents and checklists and standard forms and the development and implementation of the organisation's corporate governance framework.
  • Develop and implement procedures for procurement policy and strategies.
  • Conduct and manage a wide ranging caseload of both straightforward and complex legal work, with a bias towards Contracts, Procurement and Partnerships.
  • Advise and attend partnership and other interagency meetings and case conferences as required, including provision of advice and assistance in the preparation of protocols, policies and procedures.


The candidate:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is preferred
  • Knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts is preferred
