Senior Commercial Litigation Associate
This acclaimed international commercial law firm are seeking a talented Associate to join their growing commercial litigation practice based in London.
With a team exceeding 950 professionals, including 200 partners and legal directors, the firm offers comprehensive legal services covering a wide spectrum, from non-contentious advisory and transactional work to diverse commercial litigation.
Introduction to the Role
- The successful candidate will join the Commercial Litigation team and will assist corporate clients in navigating complex litigation matters both domestically and internationally.
- The team serve as trusted advisors to a diverse clientele across specialized sectors such as transport, logistics, international trade, retail, insurance, marine, health, education, manufacturing, public sector, banking, and financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client liaison and communication with stakeholders
- Drafting and proofreading legal documents
- Instructing Counsel and experts
- Preparation of client reports
- Negotiation
- Business development activities including article preparation
- Undertaking additional tasks as delegated by team members
- Potential secondment opportunities to support client relationships
Requirements:
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for Commercial Litigation
- Proficiency in Civil Procedure Rules and relevant court procedures
- Strong teamwork and independent working abilities
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building capabilities
- Experience in contract disputes, professional negligence claims, IP and tech, construction and engineering, and insurance coverage disputes
- Track record of contributing to business development and fostering internal and external relationships
