Senior Commercial Combined and Property Owners Underwriter

We have a new opportunity available for a Senior Underwriter in Commercial Combined and Property Owners to join our insurance company client as part of their Manchester-based operation.

As Senior Underwriter, you will support the profitable development of the mid-market Commercial Combined and Property Owners account through underwriting commercial risks. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with a panel of network brokers.

In addition, you will be required to play your part in developing the commercial lines account by engaging in and managing new and existing relationships with brokers, whilst taking ownership of large and complex cases.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in underwriting and trading in Commercial Combined and Property Owners.
• A good technical understanding of insurance underwriting principles.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and brokers.
• Be a good team player, able to collaborate and work effectively with others.
• Organised and able to manage workload effectively.
