Senior Highways Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer

Full time / PERMANENT

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 / year

Location: London, Coventry, or Manchester (flexible).

Up to 4 days a week working from home (hybrid)

A Senior Highways Engineer is required to join a highways client working on a permanent basis in either London, Coventry or Manchester. As a Senior Highways Engineer, you will be responsible for producing design deliverables (including drawings, specifications and reports), conducting site surveys, liaising with stakeholders, checking calculations and detailed drawings, and managing other engineers, as well as other duties at construction stage.

The successful candidate must have a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) and be working towards chartership, have experience with delivering Civils / Highways projects, considerable design civil engineering experience, be proficient in the design of below-ground foul and surface water drainage using Microdrainage software. Moreover, the successful candidate must have confident communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex ideas simply. The ideal candidate will have experience with contributing to bids, proposals and tender submissions, experience with delivering multi-disciplinary Civil and Highways projects, managing small teams, and experience in managing commercial elements of projects.
