The Peritoneal Dialysis Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital has a rarely available Senior Charge Nurse post, and is seeking a registered nurse to lead the specialist nursing team. You will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team to ensure safe and effective clinical practice, enhance the patient's experience of care, and manage and develop the performance of the team. You should be an advocate for home therapy. As clinical leader you will promote teamwork within a multi-professional environment, demonstrating critical analysis and decision making skills, leading the delivery of a clinically excellent, high quality service influencing and facilitating change within ward/department and where appropriate the organisation, ensure visibility for patients and carers/relatives on a daily basis. It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, have evidence of continuing professional development and be educated to degree level or working towards. You should also have substantial post registration experience with renal service and peritoneal dialysis. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday.
