About Us: Our client is a leading manufacturer of electric heaters and control panels for hazardous area applications. We're on the lookout for a highly skilled Senior CAD Developer to shape and maintain their CAD infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and efficiency.
Position Overview: As a Senior CAD Developer, you'll be the Autodesk expert, specializing in products like Inventor and, preferably, Autodesk Electrical. Your role is crucial in setting up, optimizing, and continuously developing our CAD systems. If you're experienced in Autodesk APIs, vault implementation, and programming languages associated with Autodesk products, we want to hear from you. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- CAD Infrastructure Development: Design, set up, and maintain our evolving CAD infrastructure.
- Autodesk Product Expertise: Be the go-to expert for Autodesk products, offering guidance and support to the team.
- API Integration: Develop and implement Autodesk APIs to enhance CAD functionality and improve efficiency.
- Vault Implementation: Manage Autodesk Vault implementation for data security and efficient data management.
- Programming Skills: Good knowledge of programming.
- System Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize the CAD system's performance to enhance productivity.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of CAD configurations and best practices.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to CAD users, addressing technical issues and maximizing system potential.
- iLogic Automation: Implement iLogic automation in Autodesk Inventor to streamline design processes.
- Costing Sheet Automation: Create automated costing sheets within Autodesk products for accurate project cost estimation.
- Engineering Documentation Automation: Implement automation solutions for generating engineering documentation, improving accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
