Join our client, a small but fast growing TMC who are part of a wider group of companies, as they seek a Business Travel Consultant.

Business Travel Consultant - What will I be doing?

  • As a Business Travel Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating seamless travel experiences for their corporate clients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their travel requirements, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert advice and tailor travel solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Booking Management: Efficiently manage travel bookings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client preferences and company policies.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as a point of contact for clients during their travel, addressing any issues or changes promptly and effectively.
  • Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel logistics, including itinerary planning, ticketing, visa assistance, and travel insurance arrangements.
  • Technology Utilisation: Utilise our client's advanced travel management systems and tools to streamline processes and deliver superior service to clients.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with corporate travel policies and regulations. Maintain accurate records and generate reports to track travel expenses and performance metrics.

Business Travel Consultant Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in corporate travel management using a GDS is ideal.
  • If you do not have corporate travel experience but have worked in leisure travel as a travel consultant your application will be considered but this would be an entirely office-based role due to the training required
  • Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in travel booking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A solid understanding of the travel industry and excellent teamwork skills.

Business Travel Consultant -Additional Information:

They are paying a good competitive salary of between £27k - £35k depending on experience.

The role is ideally office-based Monday to Friday 9 - 5 but experienced corporate travel consultants would be considered to work remotely. If you have less experience on the Corporate Travel side this will be office based in the Shrewsbury area.
