Adecco's specialist Property Services Division is delighted to be partnering with the amazing Bolton at Homes housing association to recruit for a permanent Senior Building Surveyor to become part of their Assets and Planned maintenance department based in NW area.

Purpose
The Senior Building Surveyor will be responsible for managing Bolton at Home's Team of Building Surveyors to ensure our homes and buildings assets remain compliant with health and safety requirements.
The role is especially important in effective Contract Management related to building works.

Duties
* The effective management of complex or large Contracts for programmes of buildings works to agreed deadlines.
* Ensuring that Contracts deliver value for money, improved satisfaction to customers as well as buildings health & safety compliance.

* Management of several surveyors and tenant liaison officers
* Acting as either a project lead or active participant, support the development and delivery of effective asset projects ensuring it meets the needs of the customer / partner organisation.
* Ensure procurement activities deliver value for money and enable the best outcomes for Bolton at Home and customers.
* Maintain up to date and accurate, auditable records of works, including financial monitors, handover records, Operation and Maintenance manuals etc.
* Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and professional standards through regular review of working practices and the professional development and training of staff.
Delivering significant capital investment programmes including:
o External Refurbishment Schemes
o Carbon Reduction Programmes
o Kitchen and Bathroom
o Structural Improvement scheme

Candidate requirements
* Extensive experience of managing large and complex contracts with substantial budgets , knowledge of procurement and contracts
* A professional approach to work, remaining up to date with knowledge of relevant legislation, building regulations, CDM regulations, planning and health & safety.
* You will have degree in Building Construction, or an HNC / HND in building construction alongside experience of successfully delivering programmes of work.
* You will hold a full UK driving license and have daily access to a vehicle you can use for work purposes.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts and work with others to overcome complex technical problems.
* Great communication skills and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits
* £42,540 - £46,740 annual salary DOE
* 28 days annual leave increases to 33 with length of service plus bank holidays.
