Role: Senior Alcohol & Addictions Worker

Salary: £14-16 per hour
Location: Edinburgh
Working hours: Monday - Friday between 9am & 5pm - no personal care

Search Consultancy is working with our client in Edinburgh who is looking for Senior Support Practitioners to join their team on a full time basis.

The core hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (with the potential that some evening and weekend cover may be required).

Our client supports vulnerable people with various support needs and you will be dealing with the below;
* Homelessness issues
* Community-based housing support
* Caseload management
* Lone working
* Mental health issues
* Substance use issues
* Benefits system
* Multi-disciplinary working
* Report writing
* Microsoft IT packages

If you have experience working in an outreach environment or if you have life experience in homelessness and/or addictions then we want to hear from you. You will provide the highest standards of respect, support and care; overall, ensuring the dignity of the clients is maintained at all times. You need to be a good team player, communicator, listener, to be focused, dedicated and reliable please note there is no personal care required for this role.

You will be approachable, respectful and will have the personality to deal with different people and resilience to deal with challenging behaviours.

Please not you need to have experience dealing with caseloads and have experience in alcohol and addictions is essential.
