firm of Accountants has enlisted Dot Recruit to find a seasoned Senior Accounts Manager.


We are seeking an ACCA/ACA qualified professional with ample experience to join their team, supporting the Partner, providing mentorship to junior staff, and overseeing a diverse SME and client portfolio.


This role is based at the Kendal site, but the Partner is looking for someone who can assist him in modernising the firm through digitalisation, implementing similar processes to their Fylde Coast site, transitioning them to a fully cloud based firm.

The Duties:


As Accounts Manager, you will be a managing your own personal portfolio of clients , with duties to include preparing of management and statutory accounts, preparing of personal tax computations, self-assessment tax return, corporation tax returns. You will be fully client facing, therefore working from the office will be an important factor in this role to oversee and mentor juniors as well as the ability to meet regularly with clients and Partners. However, the option to work from home as an office/home blend is available for a couple of days per week.


The Requirements:


To be considered for this Accounts Manager positions, you will be Qualified ACA or ACCA. You will currently be in a senior / manager role within your firm, preparing accounts and reviewing the work of juniors, as well as ideally managing your own portfolio. If not currently managing your own portfolio, you will be more than ready to do so having qualified and bags of experience!

Whilst this could initially be a sidestep for some current Managers, this is an unmissable opportunity, for someone where ongoing development opportunities aren’t available at their current firm for whatever reason, and working with some excellent colleagues.

What’s important to this client is a high calibre and confident character, with excellent personal skills, as well as a strong work ethic. Enjoying being part of a team as well as contributing to change is also something which this client will be seeking from this Client Manager.
