LTF Recruitment is excited to present an enticing opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor/Teachign Assistant in Chesterfield (S43). This role involves working within an outstanding alternative provision, alongside a dedicated team committed to enhancing the education and overall well-being of all students. There's potential for this position to transition into a permanent role post a successful trial period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting both individual and group sessions to foster positive behavior and social skills development in students.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and fellow colleagues to cultivate a nurturing and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Providing classroom assistance to children with ASD, Speech and Communication Difficulties, ADHD, and Severe Social Anxieties.
  • Demonstrating effective behavior management techniques and a compassionate demeanor.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Possess adaptability and willingness to fulfill various classroom roles, indoors and outdoors, based on individual student requirements.
  • Have prior experience working with children with SEMH and/or SEN.
  • Be capable of commuting to work.
  • Hold Team Teach or equivalent training, which is advantageous.
