Teaching Assistant - SEN AP Unit

Location: Chesterfield, S41

Take home pay - up to £400 after all deductions

We are urgently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants for our Special Educational Needs Alternative Provision located in S41. These roles require immediate starts and will be facilitated through LTF Recruitment. Candidates must be in good physical health, have resilience, and have a deep understanding of working with vulnerable and challenging pupils.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate support and assistance to students within the SEN AP Unit.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and challenging behaviours is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with vulnerable pupils.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training in special education and behaviour management techniques.
  • MUST HAVE VALID DRIVING LICENSE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE.
