Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Scunthorpe, Special Educational Needs School

Type: Full-time, Long-term

Salary: £83 - £93 per day

Are you a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in Scunthorpe? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a reputable Special Educational Needs School to find a passionate individual to join their team.

Role Overview: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the learning support team, working closely with students who have special educational needs. Your role will involve providing one-on-one and group support, collaborating with the teaching staff, and contributing to the creation of an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement individualised education plans (EHCP's).
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs or in a care setting is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in education or care is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.

Contract Type:

  • Long-term placement.

Salary:

  • Competitive, £83 - £93 per day.
