Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young lives? Accelerate Teaching is searching for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Secondary School in Kirklees.

Role Overview:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs, aiding their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all students.
  • Foster a nurturing and encouraging environment, promoting confidence and independence among students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with individualised learning plans, adapting teaching methods to suit varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Facilitate classroom activities and interventions, promoting engagement and participation.
  • Support students with daily tasks, including personal care and mobility assistance as required.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, promoting open communication and partnership.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special needs is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and motivate.
  • Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students' individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous.
