Tradewind are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a vibrant SEN School located in Warrington. This is a full-time position with an immediate start date, offering a rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse range of students.
The School:
Located in Warrington
84 places for pupils aged between 4 and 19 years
Specialises in Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and other associated medical and physical difficulties
The Role:
Supporting students with their educational and personal development
Assisting with classroom activities and lessons
Providing one-on-one support as needed
Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for students
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
