Tradewind is currently recruiting a dedicated PMLD teacher for a specialised school in East London. This full-time position is available for an immediate start, with potential for continuation into the next academic year or permanent placement.

About the School: Our institution caters to pupils aged 2-19 with a diverse range of severe learning difficulties, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Our mission is to facilitate the development of each student's full potential by providing a comprehensive and tailored curriculum, designed to meet individual needs and ensure access to the National Curriculum.

As a PMLD teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering appropriate lessons for pupils with PMLD
  • Collaborating with support staff to implement and oversee interventions
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress
  • Updating and setting targets for children
  • Working alongside a team of SEN professionals

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Full QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Previous experience in SEN education, preferably with PMLD or SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and satisfactory professional references
  • A comprehensive CV covering your employment history for the past 10 years
  • Legal authorisation to work in the UK
