The School
Five Education is seeking a teacher for a special school in Bristol. The school provides a welcoming and safe learning environment with a strong emphasis that pupils should enjoy what they are learning to reach their potential. The students at the school are between aged 3 to 19 and have severe and profound learning difficulties, complex needs, autism and sensory impairment. The class you will be working in consists of 10 pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, ranging from Year 3-6, and have a fully adapted curriculum.

The Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering core and foundation subject lessons, covering pre-national curriculum levels up to national curriculum KS1. Additionally, you'll assess, record, and report on pupil progress towards EHCP targets and curriculum objectives using the school's assessment system. You will be working with a specialized team of support staff and multi professions to ensure pupils' needs are met and strategies are put into place.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proficient in ICT
- Experience in teaching children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks, if required
- Availability to work five days a week (term time only), 8:30-15:30
