Role Overview
As an SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in developing a supportive learning environment tailored to the individual requirements of our students with SEN. Collaborating closely with the SENCO and other passionate educators, you will provide customised lessons, support students, and apply effective strategies to foster academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teacher:

  • Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that address the varied learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Evaluate students' abilities and create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure an integrated and inclusive learning experience for all students.
  • Track students' progress, monitor achievements, and offer consistent feedback to students, parents, and key stakeholders.
  • Establish a supportive classroom atmosphere where every child feels respected, valued, and inspired to succeed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience working with students with SEN.
  • In-depth knowledge of various SEN conditions, learning styles, and differentiation strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexible and proactive teaching style, committed to continuous professional development.
  • Compassion, empathy, and dedication to positively impact the lives of children with SEN.
