Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Experienced (Wakefield)

Are you an accomplished Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) seeking a new opportunity to make a lasting impact on the educational journey of young learners in Primary? Accelerate Teaching are looking for a highly experienced SEN TA to join our team and support students in primary schools across Wakefield. We have positions for now and also in the new academic year.

At Accelerate Teaching, we are committed to providing exceptional educational support to students with special needs. We are keen to find individuals that are able to nurture their potential, promote inclusion, and ensure a supportive learning environment for each child they work with.

As an SEN TA, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on-one or small group support, assisting the class teacher, and adapting learning materials to suit individual requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success and experience as an SEN TA in a primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Be available 5 days per week in term time (Wakefield)
  • Flexibility, patience, and adaptability to cater to varying needs.
  • A Team Teach qualification is desirable although not essential.
