Accelerate Teaching is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Reception at a vibrant primary school in Kirklees. This role is available immediately and is expected to continue until July 2024, with the potential for a permanent position thereafter.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a child in Reception with special educational needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support, implementing individualized learning plans, and fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere for the child to thrive academically and socially.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
