Are you a Maths Teacher with experience within SEN settings, or a desire to work in one?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to fulfil a full time permanent role from September 2024 (or sooner if available) within a large Specialist School located in Southampton. 

The school is a mixed 7-19 SEN day school located in Southampton, where they ensure that every child is valued and treated as an individual and with respect. They aim to nurture aspirations, develop resilience and empower learning for all young people, and each child has a learning and therapy programme tailored to their specific needs. All pupils within the school have access to highly skilled teachers, multi-disciplinary team of therapists, and associated professionals who work closely as a team. 

As the Maths Teacher, your role is pivotal in nurturing mathematical literacy and boosting students’ confidence. From Key Stage 2 (KS2) to Key Stage 4 (KS4), your primary objective is to establish an interactive and supportive learning environment, where pupils of varying abilities can enhance their mathematical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving techniques. Whether you’re an experienced professional or an aspiring educator keen on contributing to Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings, we wholeheartedly encourage you to apply. 

For this role, you will be/will need:

- An enthusiasm for teaching Maths

- A degree in Maths or related subject

- Demonstrate talent, passion and innovation in teaching.

- Possess a genuine desire to inspire our children and young people.

- Have experience in SEN settings or a strong desire to work in one.

- Exhibit excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.

- Be self-motivated, reliable, and a resilient, positive team player.

- Prioritise child safeguarding and equality.

-  Embrace versatility and adaptability and the drive to make a difference.

The salary for this role is currently set between £40,000 and £47,000 per annum, dependant on experience, and is a full time, permanent role.
